    Hello there.

    So basically I have been charged 13 USD for a subscription in a game although I have canceled that reoccurring billing every month before they charged any money. There was no option to do it before that day for some reason. This happened on the 21st July.
    Obviously I would not like to have to pay that money, mainly because I don't even play the game anymore nor do I have the gold subscription to even play online anyways. This money should not have been charged in my opinion. I did not have any money on that
    account anyways. So now I have to pay those 13 USD or it will always renew itself every month? The complicated thing is that I live in Germany, Europe. We obviously don't use USD, we use Euro. I got a gift card from a friend that lives in the US. Bought the
    subscription that time. Since it was 25 USD, I asked for one dollar so that I can get it twice. After the second month was charged I wanted to cancel the automatic payment for the next month, but it didn't let me. That makes it even harder to find a solution.
    Not having the subscription at all would be much better, but they did it anyways.

    Is there anything I can do to get rid of this issue? I could obviously pay that money, but I have no idea where to get 13 USD from since I don't have an US account with money. Altought I'd run the risk to have the same problem as previously mentioned that
    I wouldn't be able to cancel the monthly payment.

    Hi Nine,

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you want to cancel a subscription. When cancelling a subscription, you need to turn off the auto renew first. Once that is off, then a subscription can be cancelled. Here is a guide to
    turn off recurring charge.

    Thanks for the answer. Sadly that did not work for me. I canceled the auto renew before the money was charged. After that I wanted to cancel the subscription itself aswell, that did not work. It said something like "You cannot cancel the subscription because
    you have already paid". This would make no sense to me since I didn't pay yet, nor was the auto renewal activated at that time. So it charged the money without me wanting that anyways.

    How do I unsubscribe from Xbox Live Gold without unsubscribing from Microsoft Personal?

    they are listed separately on your Microsoft account, just select turn of reoccurring billing for the Xbox live one.

    sign into your microsoft account online, select subscriptions

    choose manage xbox live subscription and turn off auto renew or cancel sub.

    To buy a subscription you must use a reoccuring payment method

    Credit is not a reoccurring payment method

    Any plans on the dashboard is a subscription

    The only option for pay as you go is full priced prepaid cards as subscriptions like your everyday bills are reoccuring
