Renewed Xbox Live - Rewards, GWG will not recognize status

Hi renewed my XBL with a 12 month subscription. However, I cannot obtain any of the games with gold for free, and the system prompts me to either pay for the item, or sign up for XBL.

I am NOT in the insider program, and I have attempted to obtain the GWG from both the website, and through my console with the same result. I have also checked my Microsoft account and it also acknowledges and lists that I am currently on a 12 month subscription
to XBL Gold.

I have already been on chat with support for the better part of the day and I am continually told to go to different forums to resolve this, only to have those agents tell me the same thing, or recommend the exact same things to try to solve it. I paid for
a 12 month subscription and I expect to get everything that is supposed to come with that.

Xbox Live Gold Renewal Recognition

Hi,

I was wondering how long it takes for Xbox Live Rewards to recognize the fact my Xbox Live Gold subscription has been renewed. My subscription was originally set to expire December 6, 2016 but on November 24 I added another year with a prepaid code. The
MyVIP section of my rewards page is still telling me that I should renew to avoid losing my gold status. I assumed it would recognize the renewal within 96 hours the way it recognizes purchases. Any insight would be appreciated.

Error in gold status

We see that you are not receiving Gold Status this month due to your subscription being a promotional Gold subscription for 1 month. Promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards, so your free 1 month is not eligible. From our FAQ:

My Xbox Live Rewards account is not recognizing my Xbox Live Gold membership. What should I do?

Xbox Live Rewards can only recognize paid monthly or yearly standard, non-promotional Xbox Live Gold memberships. If you have a different type of membership, we may not be able to recognize you as an Xbox Live Rewards Gold member.

 

Since that is not a Rewards program issue, you'll want to try posting in the Sales and Promotions forum for assistance.

 

Oh great, ONCE AGAIN told to post in another forum rather than resolve the issue. Surprise, surprise. Does anyone know how to fix anything or do you guys just tell people to post in other forums until they give up? Jeez.
