I received a response from Apple support confirming what you had already told me. With renewed confidence I decided to try a few things. ( I also had not been able to get the Premium version on my iPhone 7 since taking out the subscription)

I got it to work YEY!!!

This is what I did, incase others have the same problem.

Although I was logged into my apple ID, naturally doing this when I set up the new ipad pro and the subscription was showing in the itunes subscriptions, for some reason the Premium subscription did not happen when opening the app on the iPad Pro or since
purchasing the subscription, on my iphone 7.

I deleted the Solitaire app, went into settings, itunes subscriptions ( you have to confirm your password during this process) I can see the Microsoft subscription. I Changed to Apps and downloaded the Microsoft Solitaire app again, opened it and yey it
is now the premium edition.

I have now done the same on my iPhone 7 and the premium is now showing there too.

For some reason it needed me to be in the iTunes subscriptions in settings, while downloading the solitaire app and opening it to work. Strange but it now works.

I'll elaborate further. No the problem has not resolved. I have Spotify premium so no ads there either. This problem is not related to the music at all, because it also occurs without any other app open. Like said, if I have a stable internet connection. The problem is explicitly this:

The app 'Microsoft Solitaire' shows me ads when I'm offline even though I have a premium subscription on that device.

Its like the app forgets that I have a premium subscription as soon as the Internet connection is gone.

Premium Subscriptions are valid only for the game and operation system on which it was purchased. For example, if you purchased Premium for Microsoft Solitaire on your Windows computer – it will only be valid for Microsoft Solitaire on devices that run Windows. It will not be valid on mobile devices that run iOS or Android, and it will not be valid for any other Microsoft Casual Game beyond Microsoft Solitaire Collection.

This is not July and I'm having the same problem with renewing the upgrade to premium for the Microsoft Solitaire Collections. It's been three days now of ANNOYING ADS EVERY GAME!!! I don't know what the problem is; whether on my end or the Store or Microsoft
or ??? I don't have a Xbox to turn to..l.just Windows 8.1 on my PC. It shouldn't be this difficult to give Microsoft money.
