Renewed Gold account, but it bought a game, now I can't re-renew Gold.

On July 15 I received an email that my live account had been cancelled, so I went to renew it, on July 16th.

When I did so, I got an email with a receipt which I didn't actually look at until today, when I tried to download the Destiny Beta and was told it's only for Live subscribers.

I looked up the Purchase Confirmation email and saw that it was for Battleblock Theater, for some reason. I was thinking that I accidentally bought BBT since it's the Games with Gold game, which is fine, no refunds, etc..

Next, I tried to renew my Gold subsctiption, but when I do, i am given the message:

Sorry, that's as many as you can have
Only a limited number of these are allowed on any one account.

    Any idea what's going on?
I'm fairly certain I followed the link (http://www.xbox.com/extendmembership) in the cancellation email in order to renew my account, and didn't actually buy BBT, but either
way, I can't subscribe to XBL Gold now. My priority is being able to have XBL Gold, although if i can get a refund for the BBT purchase that would be great since I never meant to buy that.
    Thanks,

    :)

How to Turn off auto renewal or cancel Xbox LIVE membership

How to turn off auto renewal

It is recommended that you cancel your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership using the option of turning off automatic renewal. If auto renewal is "off", your membership will expire at the end of its current term.

    Steps to follow:

    1) If you are not already signed in, click Sign In at the upper right hand corner and sign in using your Microsoft account.

    2) Proceed to My Account.

    3) Click Change next to automatic renewal. Change the setting to OFF

You will be able to continue enjoying all the benefits of Xbox LIVE Gold Membership until your paid membership time expires.

    Note:

If you want to cancel or disable your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership immediately, you should contact Xbox support. Use the Request a Call from Support option on the official Xbox Contact Us page. Your account cannot be canceled through chat or email.

If you disable your account immediately, you will lose the time remaining on your membership subscription.

If you are on a 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract, and you want to cancel before the end of the 2 years, you will be charged an Early Termination Fee and other applicable taxes. Once the two-year agreement period is over, your account will not be renewed automatically.

You can cancel the 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract using the option of self-cancel your subscription on Xbox.com

just renewed Xbox Live Gold, child account won't link

My Xbox Live Gold membership had expired and I just renewed it (didn't have it set to auto renew). Now my son's account on the xbox360 still reads Xbox Live Free and I can't figure out how to re-link him to the Xbox Live Gold membership. It's not letting
him connect to his friends' games.
