Renewal done 2/21...can't connect to xbox live 2/22/13

Renewed xbox live and now I can't log onto xbox live. The connection is fine, because the person was using their profile before and after me. I renewed that account and today I can't cannot connect. Payment has been deducted from my account, but I see
that is states that it's Pending in the status section of transactions on xbox.com/live. Please help!
