Renew my Gold for 12 Months and server crashed so nothing added to my account!!

I tonight at 10:30pm ET tried to renew my membership to Gold with a pre-paid card. As I entered the card numbers the server crashed it said it added it but nothing has been added to my account!!! $$59.99 and it said the card was used!! NO CREDIT FOR 12 MONTHS
HAS BEEN ADDED TO MY ACCOUNT!!! I need to speak to an actual human rather than this text BS!!! I’ve been a membership owner 8 years and am quite upset!!! I want my 12 month credit for my card!!

Renewal of gold.

so i cant just buy a new 12 month gold for my account to renew. The other accounts dont get used so just want to renew mine.

Can you please go to
https://account.microsoft.com/services and check the status of your Gold membership subscription there?

Also check on
https://commerce.microsoft.com for the code redemption.

If the subscription services page does NOT show your Gold membership properly, do the following to contact an actual human of the support team (be aware however, that support is not 24/7. There are certain times of operation. So if you try to contact them
at 1 am in the night, you really only reach automated service).

So during normal business hours, go to
https://support.xbox.com/contact-us and click on the "My Account" icon (the person with the cogwheel icon).

If a box with a virtual agent shows up, click on "No Thanks". Then choose the most appropriate topic for your issue (or click on Other), and you should see several tiles at the bottom.

Depending on your country and time of operation of the official support, you should see tiles to Chat with Xbox Support, or even to request a callback.

Then click on the method you want to use (Text based chat, or actual phone call, where Microsoft calls you so you don't have to wait in a waiting loop).

I'm having the same issue with a 12 month gold card I just bought to renew my gold account with.

Did you have Game Pass Ultimate when you added the 12 months of gold? If so, the gold would have been converted to Ultimate as well (it would have warned you of this when you added the gold just as it warns of turning on auto-renewal when you purchased
a subscription). 12 months of gold is equal to 4 months of Game Pass Ultimate. In order to have gotten the full 12 months, you would have needed to add the 12 months after the Ultimate ended.

I also had a 12 month Gold card to use recently, but I was already set with Gold until mid-year of next year. I put in the new 12 month Gold card anyway, and it stacked my membership. So say my previous expiration was June 2012, with the new Gold added on,
it went to June 2013.

So yes, it will stack and not replace. If you follow the link someone posted above, you could also turn off auto-renew.
