    Hi. I see the deal on my dashboard again. No option for $1, but I'm thinking of just buying a 12 month subscription online and then redeeming it through the promotion. Although I bought EA Access yesterday, maybe redeeming an XBL membership through that
    promotion will prolong my EA Access membership? Instead of ending 12/31/16, maybe it'll end September 2017? (assuming this promotion starts giving me a free year of EA Access in September)

    In order for you to qualify for this offer, you will need to purchase an Xbox Live membership directly through the dashboard promotion on your console. I will let the investigating teams know that the offer is once again showing up, but with out the $1 purchase

  3. I had this same offer and accepted it on December 25th. Instead of being charged $1, I was charged $9.99 + Tax. I contacted support through chat and they escalated it the same day. They told me I would have a solution to my issue within 72 hours. It is now
    over a week later and any time I contact XBOX they act like the offer never existed even though I sent them a picture of my screen when the offer was there. Once they hear that they just tell me it is still being investigated and they will be back in touch
    with me "within 24-72 hours." I called and spoke with some rude and unhelpful individuals about it who ended up telling me all I could do is respond to an email the chat support sent letting me know they were still looking into it to ask them what was up.
    Over all it has been a bad experience for what looked like a good offer to stay with XBOX. You may be better not accepting the offer with the way this is going.

  5. Hey LoneWolf, that's unfortunate. I had my suspicions about the promo, that's why I didn't order when I saw 9.99. I bought EA Access and a Gold Membership separately, but used a Gold code on the promo page. So maybe in September they'll prolong my EA
    Access Membership.

  6. Hey Mister Quimby. Thanks for being so helpful with this post so far. I did contact support again who said it was still being researched by an escalation team. One rep refunded the 9.99 plus tax, but guaranteed I would keep Gold and still get the EA Access.
    I looked when I got home and my Gold had been cut off. Before that, I got an email asking if the situation had been resolved to my satisfaction, like they aren't even looking into it. I responded to that and contacted support again. They did give me a code
    for 1 month Gold so I could keep that part while they investigate but it seems to be going nowhere besides these mess ups. Phone reps and chat reps alike say they can't do anything about it except tell me if the escalations team has resolved it yet.

  7. Hey, lonewolFLOWENOL! I am sorry to see these issues you are running into while trying to get this promotion. Please redeem that code if you haven't already. Make sure auto-renew is on. As long as you have Gold throughout September, we have you sent to the
    appropriate people to ensure you get EA Access come October if you do.

    causeforconcern - Unfortunately, the promotion requires Gold to be purchased through the promo page itself. Redeeming a code through that page will not qualify you for this promotion, and you will not receive EA Access for this. Apologies for any confusion.

    Thanks. Since there was an option for using a code on the promotion page, I figured I could use a XBL code and still take advantage of the Promo.

    I don't think that option for using a code should on the promo page because it just causes confusion.

  9. Yeah, in the screenshot you included it does say "use a code" on the redemption screen, and it is associated with the offer. If you don't get it you could definitely fight that one with XBL since it is an option to redeem the offer (if you feel like putting
    up with the headache that Xbox support has been). I see Misses Quinzels post above but I'm definitely not going to call my issue resolved until I hear that it is on my ticket with them. It has now been more than 2 weeks since I brought a simple issue to them.
