Renew gold for 26.50

I called them up earlier to cancel my 3 month gold renewal and was offered 12 months gold with 33% knocked off. It works out at £26.50 so not a bad price really.

I can't offer any help, but am wondering, does it say there's an offer for 12 months for £26.50 instead of £39.99? It's not letting me renew it, telling me it can't validate (or something along those lines) my payment method, despite the fact I've tried
3 different methods several times each, and having checked the details thoroughly. My Xbox live also runs out tomorrow, which is why I'm asking

I don't know anything about a special offer but I am also having trouble renewing with code I've brought

Hey Maj Tom 360! Depending on when the renewal date for the family pack, you may the option to renew. It's not guaranteed that you will be able to renew the family gold.

Any accounts on the family gold pack will have to a free/silver account if the family gold pack is unable to renew on the primary account (the account that purchased the family gold pack). All the accounts will have to purchase gold or redeem a prepaid gold
code on the account.

Offer i got last year was £23.99 for 12 months on the dash. Which i took up. At the same time,they offered me this year price for £26.50,which isn't bad either..
