Renew for $5 a month option on dashboard not working

I'm trying to take advantage of the "Renew for $5 a month" option on the dashboard, but it is trying to charge me $60 instead when I select it. Does anyone know how to get this offer to actually only charge the stated $5 a month?

There's a promotion on the dashboard that says I can renew gold for one month for only a dollar plus get a free year of EA Access. I want to take advantage of this deal, but when I click on "renew subscription", it gives me options for 1 month at 9.99,
3 months at 24.99, and 12 months at 59.99. There's no one month option of $1. Is there something I'm missing here?

You will not get another month for $1 with the auto renew on.

Turn off the auto renew and let it expire,you may get another dashboard offer.

You have to pay the $60. The $5 a month is just what it would equal for the full $60 subscription compared to purchasing a regular monthly subscription which is $9.99.

Ok, so its basically just the same old regular discounted rate for paying a year up front, except they branded with with Destiny....

log on to your new account and look on the dashboard,somewhere there will be a join gold advert.

if you go through the options you should come across the free month offer.

be sure to turn off auto renew if you get your free month.

Because to renew you need a renewable payment option

Currency is not a renewable payment option

All dashboard deals require a renewable payment option as they are subscriptions

If you want pay as you go you must use prepaid subscription cards

12 and 3 month subscriptions are paid up front, but they work out a cheaper option on a monthly basis than the monthly subscription, the cost however is not divided in to monthly payments. The only option for monthly payments is to get a one month subscription
and set your account to 'auto-renew' so it renews automatically every month.
