    Renaming files in ModifiableWindowsApps folder.


    Hey guys!

    Installing some mods for Fallout 4, which im playing using gamepass, and I've downloaded a mod that gave me the option to use it as the default launcher for the game. This renamed the original launcher for the game from Fallout4Launcher to Fallout4Launcher_Original. The game will no longer launch properly because of this and I'm unable to fix it as I get this error message everytime I try to rename the file back to Fallout4Launcher. I've already tried giving my admistrator profile ownership of the folder but this did not work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know I can just reinstall the game and it'll fix itself but I'll have to spend time reinstalling all my mods then. Thanks!

    No problem. Instead of trying to rename the folder, go into the folder and try to delete the files, restart and try to download the game again.

    fallout 4 is actually saved in a folder other than windowsapps and you can freely access the files, so mod away.

    C:\Program Files\ModifiableWindowsApps\ (or whichever drive you saved too)

    last time i had it installed this is where the files were.
