Removing my parents email from my xbox

The only way to do that is deleting your dad's email as an alias.
But the thing with is that his outlook emails are going to be deleted permanently with the address as well

PS: any content transfer between Microsoft accounts can't be made

...My son has an email that is already linked as my "child" if I remove that and change the account to his email as the primary alias and then remove mine, will I then be able to add him back to my Microsoft account as my child, now with my old gamertag
as his (so he can keep all his stats and such)?

As I described above, be aware that if you remove a sign in alias from a Microsoft Account, that Microsoft Account gets DELETED!

If your "parent" email is a Gmail or Yahoo or other third party email, that's not a problem, as the Microsoft Account "only" is a username that looks like an email. And if you didn't use any other Microsoft services like OneDrive and the likes, the account
deletion is not a problem.

However, if your parent Microsoft Account is a Microsoft service email like "live.com", "outlook.com", "Hotmail.com" or the country equivalents like "Hotmail.co.uk" or something, then be aware that removing that Microsoft Account from your son's account
will delete everything from that account, and you'll basically creating a new and empty parent account!

Online in your Xbox Account settings you'll be able to change your email in there! Just remove your parents (That won't delete their email, just remove it from your Account) and Add the email you wish to use.

I would like to give you some information regarding your question. From my understanding, you have your account attached to your parent/guardian Microsoft account email, and you would like to transfer that Xbox account to your own Microsoft account. Is this
correct?

If so, this would be impossible unfortunately. There was a way before using the Xbox 360, however that function has been removed from the console.

Your options would be continuing to use the account as you were, or making a new account and starting over. If your parent/guardian doesn't use their Microsoft account, then you can remove their email and add your email to the account. Just note that if
the email you removed is a Microsoft domain email (@Hotmail, outlook, live, Msn), then that email would delete itself after removal.

If you do not use the email to sign in on anything like your PC phone etc. You can switch emails on the account to one of his. I will provide the steps to do so.

1. Add your child email and verify it.
2. Once it is verified you can make it primary.
3. This will move your email to secondary, VERY Important: DO NOT REMOVE THE EMAIL FROM THE ACCOUNT TOTALLY. This will delete the email entirely if removed from the account.
4. If you do use the email for anything like your PC or phone sign in, you will not be able to do this.

I am a little confused. The email that I want to separate from my son's Xbox account is my main and only email, that I use on my own PC, phone, Facebook, Instagram. Am I missing something here? Please advise.
