  1. Removing minor account from family

I accidentally messed up with creating a minor account for my daughter and now I can't remove it. Microsoft keeps on telling me I need to be an organizer and the person that accepted her but I am and it still refuses to remove the messed up account. Is there anything that Microsoft can do on the backend to get the messed-up account removed?

    :)

    Removing minor account from family

    Hi there!

The account that has the issue is your daughter's account, correct? If she's still minor and uses a child account, it's required that she must be part of a Microsoft Family.

You can manage it through https://family.microsoft.com/

Very weird predicament, how to take off parental controls.

You'll want to check out this page about family settings.

As your account is a minor, you will not be able to make any changes/remove your account from the family it until it reaches the Age of Majority for the country you are in. For example in the U.S. Age of Majority is 18.

I can't remove my daughter from my son's family group to add her to my own

Hello Snortblt, I am an independent advisor and I will be happy to help you today. My name is Khaji

I understand your frustration and believe me I understand you.

Here are some points that could help you solve your problem:

Remove a family member on Xbox: Sign in with the appropriate account on the console. Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Parental controls > Manage family members. If prompted, enter your password or PIN to validate that you are authorized to make changes. Select the account you want to remove from the family group

Remove a family member online: Only organizers of a family group can remove family members. Only the adult who has given consent can remove an account from a minor in the household.

Using a web browser, sign in to family.microsoft.com. Click next to the person's name and select Remove from family group. Select Remove to confirm

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding! If you need anything else, do not hesitate to contact us again.

Minor is a family organizer and cannot remove him

Hello Mc-Allstar, my name is Oskayra, and I will be happy to help you.

Beforehand, it is important that you keep in mind that this is a public community forum, so we are players like you, we are not employees of Microsoft or Xbox. All users help each other with common problems.

I am very sorry for the problem you are going through, with the intention of being able to help you, I did an internal search on the Xbox forum and I found a publication, where they mention the steps to follow in this type of case and I thought it was good information, which you should take into account. count and try:

Any host in the family group can remove another member. Minor accounts are prohibited from making this change.

When a member is removed from a family group, they will not be able to use the Xbox service until they are added to another family group.

Hosts who are removed from the family group cannot manage members who are in that group. However, they have full rights to their account and can still share the main console when they log in to it.

How to remove a member from the Xbox family group:

Sign in with the appropriate account on the console.

Press the Xbox  button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Parental controls > Manage family members. If prompted, enter your password or PIN to validate that you are authorized to make changes.

Select the account you want to remove from the family group.

Select Remove <Name> from family. <Name> represents the name of the person you want to remove.

Select Remove from family to confirm that you want to remove the family member.

    To remove yourself online:

Sign in to your family's Microsoft account: https://account.microsoft.com/family?ref=xboxsupport

On your behalf, select Leave family.
