Removing content restrictions from child account

Hi, Ive managed to change the settings on my childs xbox account. Ive removed all content restrictions, I’ve allowed him to add and friends, share content the full works. Yet when he trys to add a friend or play online it comes up with a restriction warning.
Even when i add my password as prompted it still wont grant access. It just gets stuck in a cycle of refusing, asking permission, enter password, refusing and on and on. Does anyone know how to actually lock in the changes im trying to make? The worst decison
i ever made was entering his actual date of burth when setting up his account.

    :)

    Child account security

What is the point of your remark? You link states: " This is known as “granting a permanent exception”. The restriction that was blocking the child account from accessing the restricted content is removed permanently. A permanent content exception cannot
be revoked." which is teh reason of my first post....

Borderlands 2 not registering and unable to download from online site.

Yes the account is under 18, the site asks for the parent's account, and we enter in the appropriate information, username, password, etc. The log in is sucessful, yet the child account is still restricted from downloading the content. As I understand it-logging
in with the parent account should remove these restrictions. That is not happening.

I can't purchase halo 5 guardians req bundle

If you are 17 and have parental restrictions on your account the parental account will need to remove those restrictions in order to allow you to purchase the content.

After you turn 18 you'll be able to promote your account to adult to remove the purchasing restrictions and no longer require a parental account.

Disable the option to delete a game

    Hi there,

I know there are content restrictions - limiting what they can play, as well as purchase and screen time restrictions but I'm not finding any options to restricting content removal or download items from the ready to install list from a console. Closest
removal restriction is the confirmation question asked before something is deleted.

If you haven't done so, post the suggestion for more child account restrictions on the feedback site: https://xboxideas.uservoice.com/

I'm sure you're not the only one who wants this.

Head on over to the Family Section for Microsoft accounts at: https://account.microsoft.com/family

From there you can select the child, and set content restrictions (including removing all restrictions). You can also set screen time limits, and set up a weekly report of your child's Microsoft activities.

    ENJOY!
