Removing an ex from family group

My ex-brother-in-law is listed in my family group as an organizer and has his 2 children listed as well. 1. Does this mean they have been playing under my XBox Gold subscription? and 2. Can I remove all of them from my family group without them losing
any data or can he create his own account and just move them?

    :)

Adult daughter needs to be removed from my family group - but she's not there

Hi, my name is Marvina and I will be happy to help you.

I'm sorry you have this problem, researching on the internet I was able to find that in the forum, the independent advisor Geri M, recommends the following steps for a solution.

It sounds like you are having trouble removing a child from a family group and at the same time you as the organizer.

Let us check this together and resolve it to help your concern.

To remove a child from a family group, you must:

Click Manage my child's profile information and find your family member.

Select Remove consent for this child's account.

    Return to the family group.

Click More options below the family member you want to remove from your family group.

Select Remove from family group > Remove.

Only family group organizers can remove family members. Leave the family group or remove members - Microsoft Support.

Trying to move a minor when the original parent is no longer on the account.

    Hello Emanon11,

Welcome to the Xbox Community Forum. Thank you for sharing your concern with us today and we hope that all is well.

A child account that is not over the age of majority cannot leave the group on its own.
You need the Family Group organizer to remove the child account from that group.

If you're over the age of majority (for example, 18 in the U.S.), you can remove yourself from your family group by using a Windows device.

On the console, any other organizer in the family group can remove you. To do so, have them follow the steps in the preceding section.

Note If you're the only organizer in a family group that includes child accounts, first remove the member from the family group. After you’ve removed them, add them to another family group so that they can continue using Xbox services.

    To remove yourself online:

    1. Sign in to your family Microsoft account.Microsoft account
    2. Under your name, select Leave family.
Remove a family member on your Xbox

    1. Sign in with the appropriate account on the console.
    2. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.
    3. Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Family settings > Manage family members. If prompted, validate that you have the authority to make this change by entering your password or PIN.
    4. Select the account that you want to remove from the family group.
    5. Select Remove <Name> from family, where <Name> is the person’s name that you want to remove.
    6. Select Remove from family to confirm that you want to remove the family member.

Hello , i have a problem i want to quit my family but I don’t have the option to quit please could you give me a solution

Hi Elouadghiri H, my name is Rishabh, I hope you are doing great out there. I’m happy to help you with your question.

Please note that the ability to leave a family group may depend on the permissions and roles set by the family organizer. If you do not see the option to leave the family group, it's possible that the family organizer has restricted this action. In that case, you might need to contact the family organizer to request to be removed from the family group.

If you're looking to leave a family group on Xbox, here's how you can do it:

    1. From Xbox Console:

Sign in to the Xbox console with the account that is part of the family group.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Navigate to the "Profile & system" tab.
Scroll down to "Settings" and select "Account."
    Choose "Family settings."
Select the family member you want to remove from the family group.
    Choose "Remove from family."

    2. From Xbox Family Settings App:

Download and install the Xbox Family Settings app on your mobile device.
Sign in with the account that is part of the family group.
Open the app and navigate to the "Family" section.
Select the family member you want to remove.
    Choose "Remove from family."

    3. From Xbox Website:

Go to the Xbox Family Settings website: https://family.microsoft.com/.
Sign in with the account that is part of the family group.
Click on the family member's profile you want to remove.
    Select "Remove from family."

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks and regards

Hi and thanks for reaching Microsoft Xbox gamer's community. My name is Josef.
I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

Hope you're doing great today despite this Glitchedsky

You could try re-add your ex account but as a member, in that way she/he can't modify or change the family group settings.
If maybe that's not an option for you, the next step will be remove your ex's account from the group

If you maybe have further questions feel free to ask, greetings from another Microsoft user
