Removing ads from X-box games on PC

After many frustrating forum searches etc. I was struggling to block annoying ads each time I started Sudoku.

Then I hit on this simple method. Just temporarily disable your internet connection, start the game then re-enable the connection. It only takes seconds and avoids sitting through several minutes of stupid ads.

1. Right click on network icon in taskbar.

2. Click on "open network & internet settings".

3. Click on "Change adapter options"

4 Right click on "Local area connection" or whichever connection gets your internet.

5. Click on "Disable" and leave this window open.

6. Start your game.

7. Once your game is started, go back to "Network connections" window, right click on connection icon and click "Enable"

Note: you will need administrator priveleges to do this.

Thanks for the info, but the ads honestly aren't very long. They are usually 30 seconds to a minute long. That's all.

You could at least offer a paid ad free version of each game.

I'm about to uninstall Microsoft Jigsaw and Sudoku because I am sick of the ads.

Unfortunately with free games like sudoku and others, ads are needed to at least monetize some of the game, allowing the game to stay free to all, but offering a pass to remove all ads for a fee

Without adds thete will be no game pass. So, to each what's he want. I like them, I am a marketing guy. Without marketing there is no sale. Exepct windows and office of course.

You should be able to right click on the application and simply select uninstall. If you do not see this option then take a look and make sure that your Windows is updated to the latest version 1903. If you need help checking for updates then take a look
at the following support page linked below.
