Removing account from current console

Short answer is yes you can. When you get the new box just log in with your details and it will download your profile. You can then download any games you have brought through the Xbox store or games for gold. Before trading in though be sure to remove any
profiles and do a factory reset.

Can you try removing your account from the Xbox and then adding it back? OR, if your account is not there, please add your account to the console to enable the prompt for sign in.

Click here to see the steps to remove you account from the console. Once your account is removed, press home twice to see the Xbox menu on the left. At the top of that menu you'll see the accounts currently on the console. Go to that area and click add
to sign in with your account.

My hard drive went blank after the update yesterday anyway before the console went totally dead so its probably clear anyway. Thank you for the piece of mind!

Hi, if you go into settings and scroll all the way to the right you will see remove account. Just click on it and follow the steps.
