    Removing a device from account and needing permission


    Hi All!

    I'm hoping someone can help me out with this one.

    So in short, my son did the unthinkable and allowed for one of his friends to use his Xbox login information to use on their own personal device.

    Now I notice that when I log into the Microsoft account it shows 2 devices, one is our Xbox One and the other I have no idea, so I just remove the device.

    Now this device keeps popping up on my account after I delete it.

    Is there anyway I can have it where I approve when devices can be added to my account? This is concerning to me because how can someone add a device to my account? I don't have any parental controls for it but I see it there, and I don't like it

    Please help!! Any information will be most appreciated.

    Hi there,

    can you try removing devices from remembering your password via this link:
    live.xbox.com/.../Protection     (This is just for consoles, but it doesn't hurt to try)

    Also check this link:
    account.live.com/Permissions     where you can remove apps and services from using your account details

    Via this link:
    account.live.com/.../Manage     you can remove trusted devices

    I hope one of those steps will do something to prevent this from happening.

    Go to the devices page, sign in, then click "More actions" next to the device you want to remove and an option to remove it is there.

    My son signed his XBOX Live into other consoles

    You can remove the account from your devices here account.microsoft.com/devices

    You would then need too change the account password so it cant be added back
