Removing a card from my account.

I am selling my 360 as i need the money. I had a card registered to the account so i could buy things from the store, i have wiped my console but i never thought about removing my card when on the 360, i came over to the xbox website and went to payment
a billing and then clicked on the remove payment option and when that pop up box come up it is blank but it gives me the choice to add a card, i take it that the card is no longer on the account as its not showing up there

Offtopic, does anyone know how to remove the credit card number from a microsoft account, because I want to do that, because I have no plans to buy any digital games, and don't want someone hacking the account and knowing my credit card.

 

Removing a prepaid card from your account

Since it's attached to an active gold account you can't remove it. You can add another card to replace it. Otherwise, you'll have to call support and have them turn off auto-renewal and when your subscription expires and you revert to silver, you can remove
the card.

 

When you wiped your 360 you wiped your payment details from it.

Card details associated to your account are now associated with your Gamertag.

Log in to XBox LIVE (say you recovered your profile on a friend's machine) and you'd have those card details associated with your account.

If you want to be sure they are removed completely from the information MS hold on you then get in contact with Support on the Support tab at the top of these boards.
