Removed old CC and it charged my new CC an xbox live gold that I don't want

So a few days ago I received a message on my xbox 360 that my old CC was no longer usable and to enter a new card. I entered the new card and it renewed my xbox live gold which I did not want. How to I go about getting a refund for the xbox live gold
that I don't use or want?

Actually you are wrong about being paranoid about my CC. I used to have it on xbox live, but when they charged me for another year of gold automatically it kind of pissed me off. The reason I don't have my CC on now is cause A) I don't need to because I
have so many MS points from preordering select games from the MS store, B) My CC expired and I haven't updated with the new CC info.

But here is the real point of this all, Steam lets you do it for games that are gifts, so why not microsoft? You can't say the tech isn't there for trades, because it is.

Why does Microsoft make it a nightmare to delete you credit card information?

My Xbox live gold subscription is about to expire on 10/11/13. I don't want to use Credit Card anymore so I bought a code on amazon and it renewed for a year however, it still says its tied to my CC now through 10/12/14. I cannot get through to ANY agents
on the phone. ALL I want is my CC info deleted. WHY is this so hard??

You can visit this page and follow the prompts. On the second page you will be
shown if auto renewal is currently on or off. If it's already "Off", then you're all set. If it's "On", just click the "Off" option, read the information that pops up, and press "Save Changes" until you receive the confirmation for successfully turning it

Same issue when I tried to download some DLC - I don't have a cc on file but I do have prepaid credit from a gift card. No option to use the credit, the site wanted a cc. I added a cc just to see if it worked and no joy - the site wanted to charge the
DLC directly to the cc and skipped the prepaid credit.

Sorry for resurrecting a dead thread, but is this a glitch or what? Last time I did a transaction with xbox live was in 2011.

@Jennos. Even if I don't phone, I can remove my CC when my Gold membership expires?

How did I not notice the charges?

That is where it gets even more complicated (to almost disbelief)

the reason I haven't been checking my statements, is because my CC is brand new.

And the CC that I did all this with was set to expire the exact month I paid for the 1-month.

I thought that there was no need to worry for the subcription would have to cancel, for how would they charge my new CC.

It turns out that XboxLive has managed to force the charge through, and have the subcription follow onto my new CC.

So I asked them why they would be able to charge me without have proper, up-to-date CC info. They said because we didn't want to completely cancel your subcription.

Visa has said they won't refuse charges unless I have written agreement that I refused monthly renewal.
