    Removed Gamertag


    My gamertag was removed and automatically changed due to a suspected violation of the community guidelines. After submitting a case review, the decision was overturned as they found that there was actually no violation. I was told that my original gamertag
    would be available and to change it within 24 hrs. I did just that 3 times but wasn’t able to make the change as the portal would say that the gamertag was still unavailable. I tried again after the 24 hrs and still didn’t work. I have tried contacting microsoft
    directly but with no success. I want to know how I can get my old gamertag back and replace the generic one that I was assigned with it.

    You can use the LiveID site to remove the E. mail address from your account.

    We understand your inquiry, and unfortunately the truth to the matter is that a name can go this amount of time, but it got reported and reviewed by the Enforcement team after this long.

    This cannot be changed by our forums community, and we do apologize about any inconvenience this may have caused.
