Remove gamer profile

What you are considering a game profile is your Xbox Live profile, most likely. In that case, your gamertag is the name of your Xbox Live profile. The first thing I would suggest is to change your password just to make sure that no one else has access to your Microsoft account. Then you can change the gamertag on your profile using the steps below:

If you are using a console:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
   
2. Select Profile & system, and then select your gamertag.
   
3. Select My profile> Customise profile, and then select your gamertag.
   
4. Under Choose your new gamertag, enter the new gamertag you want in the available text box and select Check availability.
   

Change your gamertag online:

1. Go to the official website: Choose your new gamertag
   
2. Sign in with the Microsoft account email address and password associated with your gamertag. Confirm that you’re signed in to the right account by ensuring it says your current gamertag in the top-right corner of the page after signing in.
   
3. Enter the new gamertag you want in the text box and select Check availability.
   
4. On the next page, review how the gamertag will look across Xbox services.
   
5. If you’re satisfied with your new gamertag, select Claim it.

You can remove the passcode by downloading your profile to the console.

This will remove the lock.
