Remove account that was on broken xbox 360

Our XBox 360 broke and was recycled. Trying to put the account on another XBox 360 and it is not allowing us to use that old account, and we don't have the old box to remove it from there. Trying to remove that account so we can use the new one. I can't
find the answer to this anywhere. Thank you in advance for responding.

Have you tried to remove the account and re-add the account?

What's happening when you try to add the account to the new console? You shouldn't have to remove it from the old console in order to do so.

This Microsoft account is associated with a different xbox live profile. Please try a different account. I have no idea what account they mean and there is no place I can find to call and ask.

It sounds like you're attempting to create a new account instead of logging in with the existing one. On the Xbox 360, you want to use the option that says "Download profile". From there, you log in with the email and password, and you should be
good to go.

1. Contact Support.

2. Click the category related to your problem

3. Click "See Contact Options"

3. Click on the related problem from the selection

4. This will show you an approximate fix for your problem, alternatively, click "Show Contact Options"

5. Once clicked you may choose between "Chat with Xbox Support" and "Request a Call from Support"

6. Fill in required information and you'll be on your way to fixing your issue!

Yo cannot delete the account so to speak, but if you change your password that's just as good as no one can get access to it but you.
