remove account from a console

how do i remove my account on an xbox one that is not mine. i went to my friends house and he has my account saved on his xbox one but i dont want him to be able to access it whenever he wants. i know this was possible on 360 but how do you do it on xbox
one (step by step instructions would be nice if possible.)

Your account, in it's current state that you are posting here with, can be recovered.

When the console is returned to you, if your profile isn't on it, simply chose the 'Download Profile' option on the sign in page, and use the email and password you used to sign in here.

Microsoft will not hand out your profile and info to anyone, so if you can't turn on your console now to delete it, then you shouldn't have any worries.

I have to send my slim 4gb xbox into microsoft because it unexpectedly broke and will no longer turn on with all my content still on it. Since the hard drive is internal and there is no guarantee that i will get the same console back, is there anyway i can
safely remove my profile by computer since i can no longer access my console? That way if somebody ends up getting mine that cant simply connect to my profile...

 

Hi, if you go into settings and scroll all the way to the right you will see remove account. Just click on it and follow the steps.

Unfortunately no, but you can should change your password immediatly. This will disable the access to your profile on the stolen console.

Sensible data like f.e. credit card numbers are not stored on the one.

If you have your one or its ID registered to your microsoft account you may also contact the support team to maybe have the console banned from xbl.
