Remothered: Tormented Fathers - Achievements not unlocking

This is a rather complicated setup, so bear with me...

I share my Xbox One with two family members. My account is the main account, but they'll usually sign in on a regular basis and play games (especially since we're all members of the rewards program). They both tried playing some games for achievements when there was this Gamerscore Challenge a few months ago (reward points were given based on Gamerscore earned). This one game I bought and finished a while back, Remothered: Tormented Fathers, had a rather easy 1000 Gamerscore, so they both were going to play it.

Now they were both signed in along with myself, and one of them (we'll call her D) opted to play it first on her account, so she switched her account over on the from my other family member's account (we'll call her G) via the Xbox menu. When D began playing, we noticed achievements were unlocking on G's account, not D's. For some reason, when D switched accounts via the Xbox menu not the in-game menu, it didn't actually to switch D's account for this game, but rather G was still logged into the actual game. Weird...but when D tried to play the game while fully signed in, she wasn't earning achievements...at all...

Tormented Fathers has a total of 10 achievements: 7 are story-related, 3 are missable, but nothing was popping for D's account. She was properly signed in and had no problem earning achievements in literally any other game she was playing. But with Remothered? Nothing, and I knew she was completing the proper objectives. Alternatively, G had no issue unlocking all 10 achievements during her playthrough.

This was back in January, so we left it alone and focused on other games, but now Microsoft Rewards is doing yet another Gamerscore Challenge, and we've tried all sorts of things to correct this issue with D's account: uninstalling/reinstalling the game, deleting the save file, deleting the save data in the system menu, installing it on my new Series X, nothing seems to work!

Does anybody have any suggestions here? I'm gonna try to finish the game for D on her account and see if that does anything. Maybe that will "trick" the game into unlocking everything, but I have my doubts. If we can't get anything to unlock, not the end of the world, but maybe somebody here has some ideas. The way you can solve the problem of unlocking your Xbox One achievements is first: Make sure that you have completed the required elements to have the achievements and that your Xbox One is connected to Xbox Live.

When you are offline, there could be a chance that the achievements are not unlocking. The only way you can have your achievements unlocking while you are offline is to have an active connection to Xbox Live. It is important to have some sort of connection online so that you are able to get related notices or rewards.

Make sure your account is not connected to your console.
Click the Menu button on your controller to restart your Xbox. You can do this be select Settings, then elect Power and start up and lastly restart now.
Next, reconnect the account you previously disconnected to your console.

Like I said, achievements in other games unlocked just fine, so it's not an issue with being online, and someone else was able to get achievements unlocked in this game just fine with their account, so it's also not an issue with a server or missing the objective. I'm certain I've restarted the Xbox at least a few times in between all these attempts. I have tried looking at some of these support articles here, but they are all either things that don't apply or things I have ruled out.

You should've gotten these two achievements at the beginning of the game.

Try creating a new log and see if you can unlock the achievements.

I am having the same issue. This is a game I come back to time and again, and I thought to fill out some of my missing achievements. I recruited Isaac and Izzy Bee into my community for 'The Mournful Father" and "The Helpful Hacker' but neither unlocked for me. Very Frustrating. The last achievement that unlocked for me was in Dec 2020 =( (Steam version)
