    Remote Streaming.


    Is there anyway to remote stream onto my Ally X from my series x without my xbox turning on my TV and audio receiver? It should be easy for the Xbox to know this and not turn these devices on or should be a setting on the Xbox or Xbox app to prevent this. It'd also be cool to turn your Xbox off when you disconnect from remote streaming via the Xbox app.

    Ain't that counterproductive? I'd have to turn it back on to turn my tv and receiver on when I'm using my xbox. I figured the Xbox was smart enough to decide that for me when I'm remote streaming or actually using my xbox to play games. There should be a way to implement both settings for when I use my xbox controller or the button on my xbox to turn on my TV and receiver along with my xbox and when using my xbox app on my ally x to only turn on and off my xbox when remote streaming.

    No that's not how it works, it's a hardware function that is part of the startup routine. It's either on or it's off

    That goes for everything with this function

    Thats unfortunate I figured the Xbox would be able to control the function since you can pick and choose what you want your Xbox to do when it turns on. Would there be a way to contact someone within the Xbox insider development about this? I could have swore at one point this was possible in the beginning of remote streaming being a thing on xbox.

    There's an IR port on the 360 for remote control with a Windows Media Center remote. Between that and a SlingBox, you can control a 360 remotely as well as stream video from it.
