    Remote streaming available (xcloud)?


    So I was in the insiders hub today activating the Minecraft beta. I noticed in my hub information about remote streaming. I applied months ago but never heard anything back. Does this mean I was accepted? For those that were accepted what should I see in my hub to show I'm enrolled?

    Hi,

    It's not possible yet. Xcloud streaming is only available for Android phones and tablets. My guess is it will be available eventually for streaming to Windows 10. I don't know when that will be.

    I'm confused about this

    So what seems to be the consensus here is that Remote Play is identical to Xcloud so if a game is not on xcloud, then it cannot be streamed from the console?

    I was under the impression that you could start a game on your console, open the Xbox App on your PC and then stream the game directly across your home network. As it's being streamed from the console, it doesn't need installing on PC therefore wouldn't matter if there was a PC version or not?

    Seems my knowledge of consoles is woefully inadequate.

    I know xCloud is available anywhere Xbox Live is currently available. Game Streaming from your own console is not supported in many areas yet though.

    The Game Streaming with Project xCloud is supposed be coming to Windows 10 this year. I would assume/hope they will keep supporting the Xbox Console Companion for streaming until that is officially launched and available.
