Remote purchases not automatically downloading

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been discussed before but i've done a search and nothing relevant turned up.

I was under the impression that if i bought games, content, etc remotely ie: from Smartglass app or from Xbox.com then it would automatically download on my xbox one (providing the console is set in standby mode...which it is).

The problem i'm having is whenever i do remotely purchase anything, the content just sits in the 'ready to install' section of my games list.

Is this normal or is something wrong?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Possible FIX for XB1 booting/locking issues

I dont think that works though....the game downloads.
I had mine in instant on state and purchased online Ghosts & BF and none of them kicked off, had to turn it on and kick them off.Click to expand...

Oh right, I haven't tried that bit yet to be honest (just purchased Powerstar Golf and was hoping it would be waiting for me when I got home!)

I'm having the same issue.

I read in another thread to make sure automatic updates and purchase downloads is enabled in the settings under "Instant On" and it is. I use an external HDD and read I should uncheck the option for shutting the HDD down when the Xbox is off, but that isn't
available in the options.

The OS was last updated in December 2014 so the version is recent to my knowledge (6.2.11797.0). Any help with this problem would be much appreciated.

Yeah, mine is. Although, mine has started to download automatically again now. Not sure what had caused that but seems all ok now. Cheers for the advice anyway

I think the issue doesnt seems to be in your side, looks like some update put this way. I say this because in my case actually happens the same, when I buy in the console doesnt put to install automatically, you need to do it manually in the console, or
do a remote install by website or xbox app.

when my friend had my account set as home Xbox my downloads and updates would not start automatically even though i had all the correct settings for it to do so. it did use to before recent updates.
