Remote play will not work on my laptop but will on my phone.

Based on your description, you are having issues with remote playing Xbox Console to computer. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

To have a better understanding, we would like to further isolate your concern.

1. May we ask if you are having issues playing games from Xbox app on your computer? Especially joining a multiplayer game?
   
2. Are we part of Xbox Insider or PC Insider?
   
3. Please check your Xbox Network and NAT Type. Also, please let us know any error message or code you notice like Double NAT detected, 0x89231906, Can’t get a Teredo IP address, NAT Type: Unavailable, Teredo is unable to qualify, UPnP not successful.
   
   • For Windows 10:
     
     • PC Settings > Gaming > Xbox Network and check the NAT Type.
       
     • Look for NAT Type and error.
       
     • Please reply with any error message/code you notice.
       
   • For Windows 11: Install Xbox Console Companion app from Microsoft Store (click here)
     
     • Launch Xbox Console Companion app.
       
     • Go to Settings and select Network tab.
       
     • Look for NAT Type and error.
       
     • Please reply with any error message/code you notice.

If it is an internet problem though surely I shouldn't be able to remote play on my phone? However remote play works perfectly fine on my phone, just doesn't work at all on my laptop! Could it be an issue that the tv I am playing on only supports 720p or does that not make a difference?

Ok no change. Rebooted router, ensured my laptop is on the same wifi as I've just set up a repeater in my games room on a different SSID and no change. Oddly today the remote turn on and off isn't working either from my phone or laptop

I'm having the same issue.

but I figured something about this.

When TV that connected to XBOX is turned on. remote play works.

but when TV is turned off. remote play is not working.

if I turn on my TV first, then remote play from my PC . it works perfectly.

then if I turn off my TV. suddenly Remote play become very unstable and stuttering.

and it disconnected automatically in a minute.

I tested wireless and wired , both behaves same.

and most importantly , this issue not reproducing iPhone and android phone remote play.

mobile phone remote play works perfectly no matter TV is turned on or not.
