Remote Play Setup

I don't know what happen but it seems I lost the ability to remote play from my phone. I noticed it when I purchased a few games on my phone from Microsoft.com. Usually it will ask what device I want to install to but now it comes up with a learn more page for remote installing. Also on my phone with the xbox app my console is no longer listed nor can I get it synced back. It just sits there with the screen saying turn on your xbox and sign in. I selected the existing console but it just sits there on that screen. I tried to select set up console but nothing shows up on the tv. I tried hard resetting the xbox, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I reset my modem. But I get nothing and I really like the feature. I also tried from the game pass app but it doesn't do anything either. I also followed all the instructions on the support page and I have all green check marks. Is anyone else having this issue? The remote feature was last working in November when I was on vacation.

I switched back to alpha and it still sees my consoles and remote play launched on my phone. Thank you! Yes it I happens again I will report the problem.

I'm glad it worked! Try and see if you can, I'm going to pass on this information to see if there is a team that can look into this.

EDIT: If the issue returns, could you file a bug via Report a Problem as well.

Good news! I reverted to the beta build and after the update I was able to go through the setup console instructions again. It prompted a code so I am back remote with the series x 😊. I guess it was the alpha build that was messing it up. Should I try to go back to the alpha build? 🤔

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Kindly make sure that the "enable remote features" are also turned on. Please follow the steps below:

"Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Go to Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Remote features.

Select the Enable remote features checkbox."

If it's already set up correctly, please disable it and then switch the power mode to "shutdown mode", after that perform a powercycle.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

After that, re-enable the remote features by clicking the checkbox and then switch it back to "sleep mode". This will fix the issue.
