Remote Play not Working

pretty tired of it. this happens every now and then just doesnt work, for no reason, and no solution. trash

Same for me right around March 7 I can't access remote play. I'm going to try the disable/enable +power cycle on my Xbox when I get home otherwise no other trouble shooting has worked for me

I have had this same issue but none of these solutions have helped, any other ideas?

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide and go to Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Remote features.

Check the box to enable remote features.

For Power options, select Sleep mode.

On your mobile, log out of the app and clear the cache from the application manager.

On your console, go to your network settings and in advanced options change the DNS to primary 8.8.8.8 and secondary 8.8.4.4

Remove your account from the console

Press and hold the power button on the console until the Xbox turns off completely.

When the indicator lights on the front panel of the Xbox turn off, unplug the power cord from the back of the Xbox.

Wait at least 30 seconds.

Reconnect the Xbox console and turn it back on.

Re-enter your account and test if the error persists.

There are schools block certain services on their Wi-Fi, including game streaming. Please check with your school’s IT department to see if Xbox remote play is allowed.

And then test your NAT type wherein it should be open. To check on this, please go to Settings> Network> Network settings> Test multiplayer connection.

A Strict or Moderate NAT type can prevent remote play from working properly. You can check and change this in your Xbox network settings.

To set your expectations properly, remote play requires certain ports to be open on the network. If your school or carrier blocks them, it will prevent the connection. This can be done through your router's administrative interface, but it requires knowledge of your router's IP address and some technical skills.

Here are the list of the ports that needs to be forwarded:

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

Port 500 (UDP)

Port 3544 (UDP)

Port 4500 (UDP)

Next is to make sure that you have the latest version of the Xbox app on your device.

Then verify that Remote Play is enabled on your Xbox console.
