Remote play not working on iPad

    Remote play not working on iPad


    So I’m at work and trying to remote play on my iPad, and a message saying that “we found the console, but can’t connect” keeps coming up. It works consistently and very well on my iPhone (which is connected to the same wifi network and has cellular data turned off), but never works on my iPad. I’m not sure what the issue is.

    Hello, My name is Jesse. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

    If you're on iPad OS 14.0.1 there is a new permission that you have to enable local network for apps like the Xbox app that are accessing devices on your network.

    - Go to settings

    - Scroll down the list of apps till you find the Xbox app

    - Toggle on local network

    - Restart the Xbox app and try to connect to your Xbox again

    Xbox thinks headset connected anytime I remote play on iPad

    I’m using my iPad or iPhone remotely when I play games. No HDMI cable. I reset network settings on my Xbox/iPad as well. No luck.

    Unfortunately there’s no way to completely disable the headset on the Xbox, as it automatically assumes a headset is plugged in as soon as I start remote playing on my iPad or iPhone. As soon as I stop remote playing, it goes back to normal.

    Xbox remote play on iPad (home wifi)

    I just tried the xcloud service directly from my series s and it worked absolutely flawless.

    Now I am even more confused than before.

    Why can I play cloud games directly from my Xbox in an astounding quality but it is not possible to remote play from Xbox to pc/ipad.

    But what confuses me even more is that it works perfectly with ps remote play.

    Just tested steam remote play from the PC to the iPad and that also worked wonderfully.

    Maybe it's an general problem with the series s/x consoles?

    Ipad showing only black screen during remote play. How do I resolve this?

    Yup it's up to date too. And it works if I remote play with my iPhone. Issue only arise using my iPad. What else could be the reason?
