    Remote Play not working on iPad (iOS Safari version)


    Hi Microsoft/Xbox Team,

    Remote Play used to work perfectly on my iPad through the Xbox app. It was fast, simple, and easy to access. But now that it’s been moved to the website, it doesn’t work at all.

    The “Connect” button doesn’t respond, and I’ve tried everything — my controller is connected, my console is online, and Remote Features are set up correctly. I’m using Safari on iPad, and even after changing settings like pop-up blocking and cross-site tracking, it still won’t load the game.

    Please fix this for iPad users or bring back Remote Play in the app until the web version works properly.

    As a follow up, my wife’s phone works fine with remote play, as she doesn’t want to upgrade to IOS 16 and still runs IOS 15 on her phone. I can’t manually “downgrade” my IOS version to IOS 15 as Apple stopped signing that version. So a fix needs to be found as a large part of the gaming community is experiencing this issue Microsoft!

    Please double check if your iPad is up to date, for this go to settings > general > software update

    If you already have the latest iOS version please try deleting the Xbox cloud gaming bookmark from your device
    Once deleted restart your iPad, go to Xbox.com/play on safari to add it again
    Re-pair your controller with the iPad and give it a new try
