  1. Remote play issue with Xbox app and Xbox Series S controller

    Hi there,

I’m having an issue with remote play on a Series S using the Xbox app on iOS. The Xbox Series S controller connects to both to both an iPhone XR (2019) and an iPad Pro (2020) with no issues, but the app does not recognise there being a controller connected
when remote play is launched on the app, and the controls are therefore unresponsive. I have tried with two Xbox One controllers and have the same issue - controllers connected but not recognised by the app. Firmware on the controllers is up to date, remote
play is enabled, all on the same 5Ghz network.

Does anyone have experience with this issue or ideas on how to address it?

    Thanks,

    L

    :)

    XBox Cloud Gaming Local Multiplayer?

Yes, I agree. This is similar like remote play (app is the same). In the old xbox companion app for remote play you can use 4 controllers to remote play but unfortunally we canot use old xbox companion app with xbox series.

Xbox Series S/X Remote Play Questions

    Hi,

If you don't know, better don't answer.

Supported device Xbox One S/X for remote play on PC.

Series X/S not available in Beta app.

Xbox Series X and S are out of luck for now.

Xbox series s and windows 11 remote play issues

Hello, I'm Felipe and I'm an independent Community Advisor, and I'll do my best to help you.

It sounds like your Xbox Series S may be experiencing a hardware issue if it is not turning on properly and only flashing. However, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

Ensure that your Xbox Series S is plugged in and turned on. Check that the power cable is firmly connected to the console and the outlet.

Try resetting the console by holding down the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it fully turns off, then turn it back on.

Check that your Xbox Series S is connected to the same network as your Windows 11 laptop. You can do this by going to the Settings app on your Xbox, then selecting Network > Network settings.

Ensure that your Xbox Series S is set up for remote play by going to the Settings app on your Xbox, then selecting Devices & connections > Remote features. Make sure that the "Enable remote features" option is turned on.

If none of the above steps work, you may need to contact Xbox support for further assistance. They can help you troubleshoot any hardware or software issues with your Xbox Series S.

Can a Xbox X controller connect to a 360 Xbox

Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X controllers work on Xbox Series X|S, and vice versa. However, Xbox 360 is on it's own, similar to the OG Xbox.

What's cool however is if you remote stream Xbox One, One S, One X, Series S, or Series X on, say, a PC, you can plug in a 360 controller and use it on the newer generation.

But no, newer controllers aren't supported on 360.
