    I brought a pc and i been trying connect through the xbox app on the pc but i keep getting the message “we found ur device but we cant connect change ur wifi or cellular network. Im a college student so im on campus & my pc only take ethernet and my xbox is under the same wifi as the ethernet

    Hello,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    We understand that you're having trouble connecting your Xbox console to your PC through remote play. It sounds like the issue might be related to your network connection. Since you're on a college campus, it's possible that the network is blocking the connection or that there are restrictions in place that are preventing the connection from being established.



    Before we provide troubleshooting, we would like to isolate the issue by asking you few questions:

    1. Did you met the required system of remote playing Xbox games? Please check the list below:
      • Internet connection
        • 7-10 Mbps
        • Connected to a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network (a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network will work but isn’t currently optimized)
        • Cellular network connectivity is also available
      • Bluetooth 4.0 and greater
      • Windows 10/11
      • Xbox app for Windows is updated.
      • Xbox One or later consoles need to be configured for and connected to the Xbox network.
    2. Is the sleep power enabled?
    3. Is the remote feature enabled?

    Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:



    1. Make sure that both your PC and Xbox console are connected to the same network. If they are, try restarting both devices and then attempting to connect again.



    2. Check to see if there are any firewalls or security settings on your network that might be blocking the connection. You may need to contact your campus IT department to see if they can help you with this.



    3. If you're using a network is wired connection on your PC, try switching to a wireless connection to see if that helps. Alternatively, you could try using a different Ethernet cable to connect your PC to the network.

    As promised, I've consulted our internal team about this and we would like to ask for clarification;

    Can you please confirm what device you are using when you are experiencing this problem? Is it on a mobile phone(Android or iOS) or on PC/laptop?

    If you are using an Android phone, may I know what is the OS version of your Android? Is it Android 10 or 11?

    If you are using PC, may I know the version of your Xbox app and your gaming services? To check for the version, follow this steps; launch Xbox app>select profile picture > Settings > About.
