Remote Play Connection Issues

I have been playing remote play for the Xbox Series X on my iPhone 11 using cellular data for a while now with no issues. Im usually on the go for work but have a few spots next to cell towers that provide a good connection with few lag issues.

However the past two weeks whenever I attempt to use cellular data it shows the error where it can find the Xbox but cannot connect. I have done all the trouble shooting I have been able to find, my phone and Xbox show everything connected and running fine. My NAT type is open as well. Every time I try and play it will load with the green ship, show the Xbox logo, then blank screen for 30sec before the error, every time. If I am on my home wireless it works fine, buttt that kind of defeats the purpose of remote play in my mind.

Hoping someone can provided a trouble shoot I have not thought of yet. I have reset, changed the Xbox's name, reset the app, ext..

I apologize for the trouble. Have you also tried to use a different network connection on your phone just to isolate the issue?

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Make sure you’ve enabled remote play on your console.

1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, then go to Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Remote features. Make sure you’ve selected the Enable remote features checkbox.

2. Restart your console by holding down the Xbox button on your controller and selecting Restart console > Restart.

3. Restart the device you're using for remote play.

If the "Enable remote features" is already ticked, kindly untick it then perform a powercycle before ticking the box again.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

Same issue, not resolved just given up hope like the rest

Edit: read in another forum switching to a PS4 controller fixes. Unfortunately cannot confirm. Tried a elite controller instead and same issue.

Also noticed issue on some games but not others, some AAA work fine with remote play with my setup but other AAA have super lag renduring unplayable. Also noticed with controller connected directly to Xbox and Xbox to non-remote play TV it lags the same as the other TV connected to remote play indicating not a connection issue.

Exactly this. There must be an issue in the hardware that is preventing the remote connection. I hope Microsoft can figure this out soon, remote play is the primary reason I subscribe to ultimate.
