Remote Play 360 to The One ?

I saw a post on the feedback site, The lead title mentioned the rival systems so it did not seem to get a lot of votes but I thought it could be a great Idea. Why not make a remote play app that streams the video and audio from your 360 to Xbox One. One
of the main complaints I hear and or see about not having 360 BC is physical space. This way you can place your 360 in another room or on a book shelf or whatever. They might even be able to turn the 360 system on right after you click the app though the RF
blaster. Downloaded titles will work better ,For the lazy people just put the disc in before you sit down. Knowing Emulation is going to be very hard or impossible this could be a good but not great feature. What do you all think ? I did not post this on the
Feedback Site as of yet anyone is welcome to if you wish. Sorry if this Idea was posted before it just caught my attention. To lazy to search also !

    :)

  2. DNLA devices - where is basic video and music player

Maybe Microsoft wants to see how sales of the $25 remote go before this feature is available and then compare against sales after this is available.

If the Xbox 360 never had DLNA or Media player app to play movies and music from my NAS I would never bought the remote for it.

I have two remotes one Cable Remote which controls TV & Cable Box. The other is my white Xbox 360 remote which controls my TV and Xbox 360. I love having both.

I don't have Kinnect plugged in because the first person shooter games I play (World of Tanks & Halo) don't use Kinnect. An other example would be my Windows 8 cell phone I text more than talk. I would rather use the remote but... enough said.

  3. Having trouble getting the new Xbox 360 Media Remote to work with my Xbox 360 console.

If this is the first time you've had/used an Xbox 360 Media Remote, you have to go to System Settings > Remote Control and change the setting from either "Windows Media Center" or "Both" (depending on which version of the Xbox Console you have) to "Xbox
Remote". For some reason, the default setting is the WRONG one. That's most likely what's causing your remote to not work.

If you ALREADY have it set to "Xbox Remote" and it still doesn't work, you may have a defective remote if it's an official Microsoft Xbox 360 Media Remote.

If it's a 3rd Party remote, made by a different brand, in all likelihood you've wasted your money on a remote that doesn't actually work for the Xbox 360. The only 3rd party remote I recommend and will vouch for is a very hard to find European model, the
Snakebyte Media Remote. It's the only one that gets good reviews. When I wanted a black Xbox 360 Media Remote with Backlit Keys, I tracked one down on eBay, and I can personally attest that it works every bit as well as the official Microsoft
remotes. But good luck finding one, they are very scarce right now. I consider myself very lucky to have managed to track one down. ^_^

Remote Play 360 to The One ?

I have all 3 of my systems in a row from top to bottom on my shelf. I have no need. I also know a few of my personal friends use the HDMI in for there 360. To me, it sounds cool. But I have no personal need for it. Others may.

Yeah Doc I agree to your point. Would like to see some remote play functions from the Xbox One in the future. Microsoft has one of the largest user bases in the world with Windows Phone, PC and tablets. One Controller to control them all would be nice someday.
I don't think it will happen anytime soon would cut into Xbox One sales.

Can I play the Xbox 360 DVD game on a Microsoft computer without an Xbox 360?

No as that function wasn't .available for xbox 360 only remote access would be smart glass or the discontinued media center

Not to mention the runtimes aren't compatible

You can play via remote play via xbox one or higher or cloud
