Remote gaming - low upstream speed test on console only

I tested my speed with Xbox though and it was saying 200mbps only when i tried updating my game it was low

Thanks mate, I'll try a wired test later, I just hate messing about with ethernet cables running all along the floor.

I tried another wireless today and it's getting slower!!

If the console is showing different speeds from speed tests, it could be attributed to the services used to test them. Speedtest.net is dedicated to testing connections, where the console's network test is only for testing connections from the console to
Xbox Live. Despite this, 16 Mbps is still really low of a difference from 500 Mbps, to troubleshoot this; try a

Soft Factory Reset. This should correct any software issues that could be preventing the console from reaching higher network speeds.

You have 200mbps download but only 10 upload? Seems a bit low on the upstream speed for a high download speed package. Anyway...

Upload speeds you should aim for are:

3 Mb/s - 4.5 Mbs for HD — High definition 720p resolution video

5 Mb/s - 9 Mb/s for HDX — Full high definition 1080p resolution video and high definition audio

Remember, take into account that what the ISP tells you that you get and what you get can vary as the ISP takes more users at peak hours etc. Also if playing Multiplayer games you need to account for the game traffic too.
