Remote Forced External Hardrive disconnection from XBOX 1

As i mentioned the message it's not because someone else it's interfering, it's due to hardware issues, you mentioned that you use the same cable on the PC but the PC uses the hard drive in a different way, you also should try to use a different port on the console, or you can even try using games storaged in the internal hard drive

The message appears because the console lost connection with the external hard drive

Hi , It is someone trying to access my XBOX as normally I can play games without a hitch and there is nothing wrong with my cable as i'm using it for the pc when not using the xbox. It's happens at certain times of the day and after I been playing for awhile but its random sometimes near the start and at other times when i've been playing for a few hours or more. so I try to avoid using my xbox at those times but they have also changed they access behavior as now they wait until im using the xbox possibly getting login info. If it were a server issue I would get a server error message. but this message is self explanatory as to what it says 'WE HAD TO QUIT YOUR GAME (WHO ARE YOU?) THE GAME'S STORAGE DEVICE WAS DISCONNECTED.(WHY DID YOU DO THAT?) RECONNECT YOUR STORAGE TO PLAY AGAIN.' (WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO DO THIS AS MY SYSTEM WAS FUNCTIONING NORMALLY?) Who had to? and Why? I been looking at the possibility of purchasing a new console but with all the horror stories of recent purchases no matter what console you buy I've decided to save my money until all the serious issues have been sorted. I will persevere for the time being but even I have to draw the line somewhere and maybe seek compensation if i'm unable to play the games that I've purchased in good faith due to this constant interference. The error code has no reference to it so this could be fake. My system is as fully locked down as I can make it I once made my pc system so secure it would not connect to the internet because I blocked all cookies the only other way to make sure your system is safe is to not switch it on!!! lols. I cant do that as it would mean I've bought a very expensive brick!!! I believe in recycling so maybe in the not to distant future it will come in handy as a door stop! or footstool! or even a UFO!!! perhaps lols Just in case any alien's are reading this your tech ability is far superior to what we have what game systems do you have? And what games do you play? Hi Ricardo Thanks for responding. The reason the console lost connection to the drive is because my games are on the storage device they forced my game to quit the drive was being accessed after the message its read ability was increased as the light was glowing much brighter than normal and then was disconnected . I further locked down my system and got a different reply message. 'Try another USB port or cable We can see your external storage but the connection is too weak to use (0x8082000d) I cannot use another port as it wont work my system is configured correctly and I have updated my security I do not have any sensitive data on my system so its a waste of time if they are trying to find anything I do not save any details like cards and such on any site. it just maybe mean that my security is so tight that I'm not letting the good stuff through either as what happened to my pc when I would not let any cookies at all be stored and so could not be connected to the internet. To be absolutely safe is not to turn it on lol's I once turned on the missus and been regretting ever since lol's I managed to play a few minutes of RDR2 and it reverted back to the original message ending in the same result so I started fine tuning my search and got this message.. Having seen all the unhappy customer's and read quite a few with similar experiences to me and fighting with their machine trying to get was alright moments ago and now it's just stopped I will not be forced into or railroaded into a subscription service lets say platform is PC and it costs for example £40.00 per month and you can play almost any game you wish subject to exclusives If I wanted to play on another platform that's another £40.00 per platform or base device like you may have2 XBOX series X for example each with their own separate account that's £80.00 per month and it gets worse as the websites have there own subscriptions the larger develops may not share their games with anyone else and therefore you will have to subscribe to whoever made the game and this could be another £40.00 per developer site that streams games using the cloud as you can see it starts to get very expensive indeed so for a majority of gamers who have smaller pockets it could mean that they are priced out of once being able to buy games and play no doubt you would also have to have a direct debit setup you don't need one now but you may be forced into a situation as no direct debit you can't play and it maybe just for the elitist with bigger pockets. for some people it's a form of socializing with like minded people getting together and enjoying their games and making new friends and for others playing 1 player games its just a means of registering the game in order to play it whether it be online or offline. I never really been a fan of online games I like to purchase a game load it up and play without all the addons and in app purchases which go on for ever just like my text here! I much prefer to play offline but most games only play if your connected to the internet. I now have not been able to play my games on the XBOX and also the PS I think the PS has also suffered a similar fate as Sony have also got a subscription website for playing games that will be another £40.00 so to sum up then lets say you have a PC,XBOX,PS that's £120 per month then there is the developers websites that are separate from the mainstream PC and console's and lets say you had 100 games spread over 20 developers each developer is £40 per month that' equates to £200 there so £120 +£200 is a staggering £320 per month this does not include your other bills and expenses some people on lower incomes will suffer this example is based on a serious gamers collection that may have been built up over lets say 5 decades 50 years. I think the problem with the games we have got is all to do with the updates and here is what I'm thinking say you had COD for example on disc but the same game is on one of these subscription sites it to is updated but the difference between the two is one is subscribe to play and your copy is not so when you load your game as normal it may get redirected to the subscription site where that game appears and because you do not have a subscription the game won't load anymore! I base my theory on that non of my games on either platform I have been able to play normally the last time I played a game without being forced to quit and have the external storage device shutdown was in Dec 21 I have now reverted to my PC It has some basic games but are playable but the other games are not on my computer they are on a server and if the server is down I can't play any game's then I resort to watching TV =( or listening to the Radio. Maybe just maybe the Radio Star has come back to life and is killing off my much loved video games lol's there is a new tune in there somewhere 'Radio killed the Video Games Radio killed the Video games In my heart and in my mind a video Game that I can play, I can't find...lol's how about this 'Yesterday...it was such an easy game to play...Why it had to stop! I don't know it would not say...I found something new how I long for yesterday ay ay ay...Whirrrrrr 'CLICK' BANG! arrggh that's better 'THUD!!!' It's not someone accessing your device, this is because your external storage it's losing connection to the console, things to try would be:

1.- try a different USB port on the console for the external storage

2.- try a different USB cable for the external storage

3.- test the external storage trough a Pc
