Remote downloads are not working again game pass app is not working properly

I am trying to Download again now, from the Game Pass section.

Then remote.play wont work

Remote play ala xcloud is only available on gamepass ultimate

Game.streaming.via.the xbox companion app requires a xbox

Keep in mind you can't.use.the.xbox while you are.using.the wireless gamestreaming

Huh? Remote Play is nothing to do with Xcloud or Game Pass. And if it won't work, then how can they get it working on their Android device? And they have an Xbox so that's not the issue.

They are trying to Remote Play their Series X games from their Series X console to their PC via the Remote Play feature and using the Xbox App. This should work without an issue, as it does with their Android device. There is nothing on the Remote Play page to suggest Game Pass is needed

If you are using the PC or mobile Xbox app to remote play from your console and you start a game download, it is the console you are viewing, so it would be the console using the internet to download the game. The app does use some bandwidth to connect to the console (so you can view it) but game downloads are done on the console, not the app.

Again, for example, if you are using the Game Pass app to remote install a game, this just triggers the console to download the game. Nothing is downloaded in the app.

I mentioned this in my last reply, but can you provide us the Xbox app version and Gaming Services version? Go to Xbox app > select Profile picture > Settings > About and those two pieces of information should be there.

Also, while this black screen issue is occurring on the Xbox app is the Xbox console on sleep mode?

Finally, are you a member of the Xbox Insider Program?

We understand you've been unable to use remote play on the Xbox PC app on your Windows computer. It appears the issue started occurring during November.



This issue may have been caused by settings in Windows that need to be changed. Or it may also be a problem with the hardware components of the computer like an incompatible driver or not meeting the hardware requirements for a certain game. So let us work together as a team to get to the bottom of this. But to better assist you I need to ask:



1) What version of Windows are you using? We specifically need the edition and version number of Windows your device is running. To find out which version of Windows your device is running, press the Windows logo key + R, type winver in the Open box, and then select OK. You'll get the window below and we need the information highlighted in red.







2) Does the issue occur with a particular game you launch? Or it does not matter what game you are launching?



3) Can you provide us a photo of your System Information window similar to the sample below? To get to this window please type msinfo32 in the Search box. Right-click System Information in the search results and select Run as administrator.







4) Can you open Device Manager using the guide below and tell us what you see in Display Adapters? Sample photo included below.
