    Remote download?


    I was registered in preview omega for the longest time, but last week I leveled up or was chosen for Alpha (I don’t believe it’s skip ahead). I love the new game pass quests so I’ve been doing those but some of them want me to remotely download games. I used to do this a couple of weeks ago with no problem. My console is still set up to receive remote downloads and the instant on feature, so I was wondering if anyone else can’t remotely download?

    Hi,

    Is your Xbox set up to allow remote downloads?

    To check head to Settings > System > Updates and Downloads and make sure Remote Downloads in enabled.

    There is no remote download feature. You have to startup your console to begin the download

    Downloading Remotely

    I agree, it would make downloading games a lot easier. Have you considered using the Xbox SmartGlass app?? There are a lot of features the app can do such as controlling your Xbox from a Smartphone, Tablet, Computer or Laptop on the go. I do hope they incorporate
    that into the next update.

    Really hope they implement this in the future as so far I have purchased all my games digitally for the xbox one , and have spent a pretty penny doing so at £55 a game full retail on the xbox store , I don't mind doing so but think for the added price I
    should get the extra functionality other wise I could easly buy the games in store for £47 to £50 which is quite a saving , some days I will have a half day off work to play a big game and it would be nice to be able to buy the game on my pc at work and my
    xbox one start to download it while in instant on mode to have it ready to play when I get home at lunch .
