Yes you can change that Xbox to be your home Xbox and will then be able to use your live gold account.

Just remember that the change of homeconsole is limited per year.

You just need to add your account to that other Xbox. As long as you are logged in you will have the features.

This allows you to go over to a friends house, Log in to their console and play, but not change your Home console settings.
