Reminder for those new: (a lot of posts about servers down)

Sometimes the developers shut down the servers for older games. They do this to save on the cost of running those servers and to get customers to buy the newer versions of those games.

This happens with a lot of sports games. I would check the publishers website for the games in question to see if they have any information on the server status.

At his point a lot of those servers have shut down and the games were delisted. The only way to play them would be to purchase them on disc.

For those of you posting messages that you can't connect, its because they're down "again."

This is nothing new and those of us who have been using Xbox Live for 12 years know that this is a common occurrence with Microsoft servers.

The one day that you have time to play or your parents give you permission to play and you're unable to, think of this as a learning experience.

One day we'll all learn that Microsoft Server Engineers have no clue as to what they're doing and so we, the people that pay their salaries are the ones to suffer.

Microsoft - Its called Q&A testing, latency testing, client/server testing and learning more about virtual servers so that when one of your servers goes down, the other virtual servers will pick up the jobs of the downed server and the rest of us won't suffer
because of your lack of education.

I think its time to learn more about Playstation 4 and stop feeding Microsoft our millions of dollars to pay for their inadequacies.

This article reminds me of the story I read years and years ago about the guy that tracked down a hacker that came into his server in Counter-Strike 1.6 When the guy go to the hacker's house, as soon as the hacker opened the door the guy stabbed him in the
head with a knife. Somehow the hacker lived.

Rest assured that XBOX 360 servers are not going to shut down anytime soon. The console isn't that old and there are a lot of people that are still using that particular console and have money invested in it with games. But if there is ever a decision
to shut down those servers, Microsoft will make some sort of announcement of it.
