Remembering Halo

Halo is what got me back into gaming, I hadn't played a game since the game cube and the 360 just came out, so there wasn't much of a library on it yet. He put on Halo CE and we proceeded to complete 1 & 2 on legendary over the weeks, all the while professing
how awesome we are at this game.

Halo 3 was announced later that year, I bought a 360 for it and the rest is history. So many great moments, but I set out to get all the achievements in every halo game and I've done just that:

Halo CE HD

Halo 3

Halo ODST

Halo Wars

Halo Reach

Halo 4

Halo Spartan Assault

I can't wait to do it all over again!

 

The first time I ever encountered a Golden Elite, in Halo CE. Had my *** handed to me in less than a second.

 

Again Halo CE. Learning the sweet spot, on Hunters using the magnum pistol.

 

Ooh, Doc, that reminds me of another great moment - I used the sniper rifle in Halo Reach to kill a Hunter in a single shot by shooting it from on high at a downward angle through the neck and out the back.

 

I have Halo 3, Halo Reach, Halo Wars, Halo CE Anniversary, and Halo 4. But I only tend to play Reach and mainly 4. Still have to finish the final campaign missions for CE and 4. My funny moment was when we were camping in Halo Reach (Ok it doesn't look like
it will be in MCC but it's still Halo) and the other team was trying to get to us. This French dude got really agitated and started yelling his French language and we just laughed.

My fond memories I guess you could say is when Microsoft (343 is a subsidiary of them so I call them M) made Heavies a permanent multiplayer war games playlist, I love playing with heavy artillery it definitely helps me do well. I also love the opening cutscene
to the Silent Cartographer. I just generally like-like Halo. I've hardly touched Halo 3 one of my NZ friends has it too we haven't done much in it tried co-op campaign. He should be on tomorrow we might play it.

 

I love the Halo games. I play more campaign then I do of the multiplayer but that's just because I pretty much suck at Halo online. The story from start to finish (or current) has been great and the gameplay has been fluent and rich in my opinion. I'm really
looking forward to going through 1 - 4 one after the other and hopefully this time round, do fairly okay in Multiplayer.

 

ionly played halo 1 and wasnt very keen on it but for some reason im really looking forward to this dont know if its my yorkshire penny pinching 4 games for the price of 1 but ive had it on pre order since it was annouced

 

Cheesy you wont regret it. Its a bargain.I've played them all before but I'm also picking up the collection as I played 1 and 2 on the OG Xbox and I want to play them with the updated graphics. Fantastic Story. Also playing it Coop with some friends is always
fun.

 

are they doing graphics over haul on all games i thought it was only 2 they was doing the cut scenes updates they showed looked amazing

I remember the first time that we were given acces to the Energy Sword in Halo 2, and this was the first word that I said (recalling my deaths in Halo: Combat Evolved)...

Completing The Library on Legendary with my wife. That level was (and still is) one of the most challenging levels I have ever played.

Being introduced to the Flood..... good twist. Using the energy sword in MP on Reach...... LOL..... trouble!
