Remembering Halo

With the impending release of the Halo Master Chief Collection, I thought it would be a good idea for us to go ahead and take the time to share some of our greatest Halo moments from (all of) the Halo games. What fond, funny, or odd memories would you like
to share?

Unfortunately there's no list. The only thing I really know of is Halo Reach if I'm remembering correctly. It seems to be kind of rare that it doesn't work.

Outstanding way of remembering the fan.

 

For me, my biggest moment from Halo came from Halo 2 on my best friend's wedding day. The groom had never played Halo before, so his best man (my brother) and the rest of our friends convinced him to go a few rounds before we left for the church. Naturally,
we weren't going to go easy on him just because it was his wedding day, so we taunted him mercilessly by reminding him of our skill and experience. The groom however, had the last laugh because when it comes to experience and skill, it all went down the toilet
once he grabbed the Scorpion tank. Despite being outnumbered 3 to 1, he slaughtered us mercilessly over, and over, and over again. We were never able to kill him either. Despite this, we had so much fun that we lost track of time and actually made him late
for his own wedding. His wife since then has, unfortunately, never let us forget it. The groom, on the other hand, has always remembered that the best game he ever played and won was on his wedding day - he hasn't let us forget that either.

 

For me the whole Halo series has been a pure pleasure to play. I'm not the biggest fan of the Multiplayer but the campaign/story/co-op has for me been some of my best gaming moments ever.

I'd say the stand out moment for me though was the first day on the original Halo on the original Xbox, I just thought "WOW" it doesn't get much better than this.

I cannot wait experience Halo 1-4 on the Xbox One this year and I can only imagine what's in store for us with Halo 5!

Like Lofty said, pretty much the whole series has just been awesome. Obviously, the very first time I played it was a stand out, but the most memorable Halo gaming experience for me has to be:

4 TV's

4 Xboxes

8 Chairs

1 Hub

Halo 2

7 Mates and me rocking the Lan party.

The epic battles, the constant smack talking, the amazing shot that no-one but you saw... Ahh, the memories.

 

It would have to be when my mate got the OG Xbox and told me to get up to his place to try out this new Halo Combat Evolved game on it. Spent all night on coop. Following Day I ditched my PS1 and bought an Xbox.

Enjoyed the Halo adventure ever since ( only the main Halo titles though)

 

Halo CE,first FPS build for consoles.I played Half life and Deus ex (among others) on console but were "poorly" port (controller,feelings)....But Halo CE brought great sensations.....Even with big Xbox controller....

Played it on coop,drive a Warhog and do crazy stunts while Covenants were shooting at us,really fun....

Halo 4,first Halo game that got me interested in the story,characters and lore....

 

All of them really, the multi-player, the co op, the customization of our Spartan's, and the Warthog. I love driving that thing.

 

Playing Halo on a 19 inch tube TV with 4 players.

 

when I play Halo 4 it was the first halo game I played. then I was a fan since. Halo 4 campaign was great. After that I pick up HALO 3 and reach and now I get to play all halo in the MCC.

 

Another great moment for me was when I made "IGN's Top 10 Halo Reach Kills of the Week" not once, but twice!

Also, I remember the LAN scene - my friends and I did that for months with Halo 2.

My best memories of Halo was when I traded in Halo 4 and deleted Halo 3 off my drive.

 

Playing 4 player Co-Op with halo 3 was probably some of my fondest memories
