Remember Me Developer Dontnod Files for Bankruptcy

Update: Remember Me Developer Dontnod 'Not Bankrupt'.

It is always sad to see a developer close but I'm not really surprised.

The game had great ideas but never clicked for me and it joined that list of games that I stopped playing but really couldn't tell you why.

Why couldn't the headlines have been SEGA or E.A file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Now that I would give anything to see.

 

It was a game of promise that disappointed. The really good ideas like the memory remix were not utilised enough and I found the combat tedious and a bit unbalanced, gorgeous looking game though. Shame.

 

Remember Me looked promising but all my friends say it failed to deliver. Sad to see another developer closing its doors

 

Too much market domination from the big names is forcing smaller studios to close down. It's a shame!

 

^^^ Yup, which is why a lot of the smaller devs are concentrating on the mobile/app market now. A shame indeed!

 

I loved remember me, thought it was a great little game

 

Great game.



Looked excellent and besides the Memory scenes the ability to build your own combos was briliant for those who figured out how to use it for maximum effect.



One of the last truly innovative games on the 360.

I remember when it was announced but afterwards I just forgot that it existed, I don't even remember seeing a video review on YouTube by IGN or whomever.

Maybe I should look it up, the game does look interesting.

You ought to be able to pick it up for a pretty decent price now too.

 

The 'building your own combos' bit sounds like it was influenced by God Hand. That game needs some sort of XBLA overhaul for 360.
