REMASTERED GAMES

There are a lot of games i would like to see specifically remastered for the xbox one rather than backwards comp. from the 360. Two of these wishes are the codemaster's OVERLORD titles.

These were great games that I have for the PC, but really would like to see fully remastered, revamped, realized and with additional content added for the Xbox one.

I would also like to see a new Overlord game that offers larger open world environs to conquer and control with new minion species and maybe other character class choices. An undead lichlord, sorceror, and maybe a barbarian king with wolves, bears and other
vermin as minions.

Remastered and new games on xbox1

I'm not really in to remastered games except DS II, but I would like a remastered Gears of War with super crazy graphics.

If that were true it wouldn't have been six years since the last one was released.

 

Even with bc, there are still a few games I'd like a remastered version of too. Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout NV and Skyrim.... Unfortunately I'm 99% sure non of them will be remastered.

 

I remember when i first played Oblivion, thought it was gorgeous... now it hurts to look at haha

I think with some games though, remastering them takes away some of the charm.

And yeah, the first time I left the sewer in Oblivion, it was a beutiful.

 

That's the only thing I have against BC. Now that it's here, there is less motivation for people to pick up re-mastered titles... and therefore less likelihood that devs will bother doing it. If I have a game that I really enjoyed on my 360 and I want to
play it on my X1, I'd rather have it be with a touch up job. If I have a game for the 360 and it will play on the X1... I probably won't bother if it looks the same as it did. I could've just played it on my 360.

 

@ Blue. I'll definitely get alot of use out of bc, just a few game like I mentioned I'd love to have remastered. I'd actually enjoy getting the achievements again too.

Some companies like Bethesda generally don't do remastering of their games anyway, so it likely would never happen even without bc.

 

^I get that. Mass Effect is likely the only series I may try to play... and only if they all make the list. But, if they re-mastered Oblivion or Skyrim... I'd be all over them.

 

I think the reason Bethesda doesn't re-master their games is because it's already been done.

The PC community mods make Oblivion look better than the 360 version of Skyrim and Skyrim looks better than any next gen console title. You get the re-mastered versions of those games (Morrowind too) all for the bargain price of $0 if you own the original
game.

I think there would be some backlash when the 60 dollar re-master doesn't look as good or have the content that the version a bunch of gamers created for free does.

 

Yeah but we haven't got the mods for those games on console unfortunately. I am surprised I one sense that Bethesda doesn't do this, they would without doubt sell a hell of a lot of remasters of those games. I'd bet even some who are dead against remasters
would be willing to cough up the cash.

 

There was just a poll in a PS forum that I frequent asking how many people game on the PC in addition to the console and 78 percent did.

Gamers in there teens and 20's have grown up with laptops for school so gaming on them is natural. Gaming on laptop used to be a big no-no but now makes up a large percentage of PC gamers. That group is going to be well aware that Oblivion can be picked
up for 5 bucks and modded to look better and have more content that anything Bethesda would put out.

It's more my generation that do to time constraints or the belief that games won't run on their work laptop that stick to a single platform. A re-mastered version of Oblivion or Skyrim would be convenient because they could play it on their console but I'm
not sure there is enough of them to make it financially worthwhile for Bethesda.
