Release date

So i went to my local game store today cus as far as i were aware, elder scrolls was out today 4/4/14. I quickly were told the xbox one release date isnt till june and that it were only out for pc today, i wasnt impressed because it was not clear from the
beginning it wasnt out till later on for consoles and my local game shops had said it were out today.

I wonder why they have done this and kept the consoles game back, what a stupid move if you ask me, this would of been the perfect time while there is very little games out on xbox one n ps4 to gain a following because in june, there are plenty of big name
games coming out. No doubt the month before i will now most likely be playing (watch dogs)+ the division) round the same time as elder scrolls or bit later, i probably wont get elder scrolls now untill its cheap.

So the way i see it bethseda you made a real deep error in keeping console elder scrolls back and i reckon youll pay for it downthe line because if you wanted people to play your game and pay to play bringing it out when there was very little choice in games
would of been the smart thing to do...

Release Date ?

It releases in Australia same day as US and I was told today not to expect it til mod to end of November from EB Games which is one of the largest video game specialty stores here in Australia.

Well, no, it wasn't some hidden secret thing. The game was originally only going to be on computers. The next gen consoles were a later development and the ads all said April 4 on PC and Mac. They haven't even started beta for the consoles yet though they
are taking sign-ups. I agree that waiting is hard but it is what it is. The date could even slip if the beta shows serious problems.

 

At least PC gamers are doing the big part of "beta testing".

Also,we will be able to see how Zenimax manage the launch and after...

 

yeah why did I get an email telling me that it was OUT today is suppose to be Launch Day for elder scrolls online Right across all PC-XboxOne

 

Well look at igns review here they were one of the sites out of alot that did the 4-4-14 date:

Im were wondering because of all the commotion due to us having to pay live n pay to play also, were it actually pulled back, (that was my original thoughts) while they further negotiate with sony n microsoft over that little fiasco because its been a bumpy
road so far on whether console gamers should get to play it free or not.

 

I haven't ever been under the impression that it was coming out in April. The reason why its delayed is because the game was originally for only PC/Mac. Its just them trying to copy and change the code over to the consoles specs. Also in the next couple
months there still won't be a lot of games coming out. Watch Dogs will be the biggest competition. But for the most part people that plan on playing ESO will play it no matter what games are coming out. Because if they are willing to pay that sub fee they
won't be distracted by other games. Also IMO, expect to see that same sub for consoles.

 

The Elder Scrolls Online site said this yesterday

"Welcome to April 4, 2014! Today’s worldwide release of The Elder Scrolls Online for PC and Mac is a landmark day for our many fans and all of us here at ZeniMax Online Studios."

and all of the ads have said 4-4-14 for PC & Mac. This was not hidden anywhere, even pre-orders were either for computer or console.

As for the subscription, of course the consoles will have to pay it. It is not a charge from Sony or Microsoft. There is a lot of grumbling and grousing about all kinds of things but without having to look very far, I have known when and on what platforms
the game would be playable. I didn't pre-order my Xbox One Imperial edition back in January when it was announced thinking I was getting it in April. In fact there was no ship date at all though the June 30, 2014 was the publicized date.

 

Only date I've seen for this has always been 6-30-14, but I was only ever looking at x1 info so take that for what it is, I was actually surprised when I got the emails saying launch and early access for PC when I got them after signing up.

 

The division isn't even coming out this year......so I guess you got an open spot. The 6/30/14 is also just a place holder date. The only thing Zeni has stated is June.

 

Well, June 30 is as late as it gets in June so until Zenimax says July it's the same thing.

 

I already knew it was around summer because of the trailers and website, I am happy though that it isn't being released anytime this month or the next because I need more time for me to get my xbox one but in the bright side zenimax is improving the consoles
version for us and we can use all knowledge pc players have obtained for our own needs when the game comes out. We just chill back while they do all the work, patience also has its advantages.
