Release a simple wired controller

Every controller is wired, simply plug in a wire, media controller.....use smartglass.

On a price note, I don't think it will be long before 3rd party controllers are out, that plus more consoles sold, will either bring the price down, or make other accessories available and more affordable.
Microsoft needs to realize that not everyone cares about wireless or likes that rumble BS. Give us a simple wired XB1 controller for $15 or $20
1996 called and they want their controller back. lol, just kidding.

As mentioned, all you need is a micro USB lead and you have a wired controller, I tried it as I preferred wired controllers for on line play in BF and Halo for example, and it works perfectly well.

The problem is you're still paying for wireless tech you don't need. The wired controllers on 360 were $10 cheaper than wireless with a damn cord included, and I bet they sold fine.

5. Karch - "I want to see an app for that"

Samsung SMART TVs have a remote control app across all major mobile OS and it works very well. I'm pretty sure SONY and LG also have similar apps. I think it's safe to say that IR remotes will be done with sooner than you think.

6. Meant an app to find the remote. Though there are apps already out there to turn your phone and such into a remote via box. Even the Xbox One can become a remote for your TV now. Though back on topic...

The X1 controller was never intended not to be wireless. There is the infrared system to consider which tracks who has the controller (Via kinect) and honestly, making everything micro usb just makes everything easier when it comes to hardware exchange.
Though is could be rather easy to make a wired one if your tech savvy. Find an old 360 controller, exchange the cable for micro usb connectivity, configure the responses, and then connect. Though I am sure in the long run it will cost you more than an actual
Xbox One controller to do so. Honestly, for all the hardware included the X1 controller is relatively cheap in price.

7. I'm going to agree with the topic creator I wouldn't mind a cheaper controller with less features. I have a couple of friends/relatives who are "sorta gamers" they were big into games at on point but stopped buying newer systems(or are nephews who are too
young to have jobs). So I always have a bunch of controllers for good fashioned local play sessions. At $60 bucks a pop that can get expensive!

Karch - tracking is also meaningless to anyone that doesn't use Kinect, which will be a lot of people now. I don't care about "all the hardware included." It has the same button layout and sticks, and those sticks will probably wear out just as easily when
I start playing Halo 16 hours a day. They can take their wireless, vibration, and IR junk and stick it. There no excuse for controllers being that much. These things are DOUBLE what I pay for 360 controllers, and you still have to spend money on batteries
or a cable on top of that.

10. Hello everyone Release a simple wired controller :)

Honestly, I don't mind the wireless controllers at all but I would definitely opt for the wired controllers if the option was available.

Also, I would like to add that always keeping the Micro USB Cable connected to the wireless controllers would mess up the battery & make you go through controllers much faster.

Have a nice day or afternoon or night everyone Release a simple wired controller :)

11. I wouldn't mind having a wired controller. I set pretty close to my XB1 anyway so it wouldn't be that big of a deal for me.

You can remove the battery pack and play with the micro USB, it works perfectly well.

I'd point people to the feedback site, but I'd rather this feedback not make it to MS. Release a simple wired controller :)
