  1. Release a simple wired controller

Microsoft needs to realize that not everyone cares about wireless or likes that rumble BS. Give us a simple wired XB1 controller for $15 or $20 less than the wireless ones. Who the hell wants to buy multiple controllers at those prices? I went through 6
X360 controllers playing Halo Reach because the damn sticks wear out. I also had 2 wired ones short on me, and the LB stopped clicking on the one I'm using now. I'm getting an XB1 by November for Halo. I have no interest in wireless, and I hate vibration.
It drives me nuts that guest controllers can't disable it on a lot of 360 games (Halo).

    :)

    It's 2013 MS, not 2004

I actually hope they release a wired controller with a little more force feedback.

  4. Release a simple wired controller

The controller becomes a truly wired controller when you connect any USB cable. You have the option of buying a Play&Charge for £20 (still less than a new wired controller) or you can source your own cable and it will probably cost you about £5.

Wired controllers weren't forgotten, but given that most people prefer wireless they simply implemented a method of connection that is cheaper for both end user and manufacturing.

  6. I'm with Viking here. Having to replace or recharge the battery once every few days to a week is a more than an acceptable price to pay in order to not feel tethered down by anything, IMO.

I remember when 360 first come out, I was like "Wireless?!?!? will it be as responsive, I am going to keep my cords" Then after playing with a wireless I couldnt imagine playing any other way.

I highly doubt many share you feelings on this topic OP, but I will keep an eye on this post to see.

  9. I can't understand how a few people make such a fuss over this. What's next? Adapter for the wired 360 controller so it may work in tandem with the Xbox One?

The Play & Charge kit doesn't cost a lot mate. I'm sure your job seekers allowance will be able to cover it.

  10. Speaking of remotes, why the hell doesn't the media remote have the same wireless tech as the controllers like PS3 did instead of requiring line of sight? It's stupid, and ancient. Those of you talking about the "future" should be campaigning for an end
    to IR remotes.

  12. Point well made, NLD; I agree. We need TV remotes that use similar wireless technology similar to the controllers, not that IR stuff that requires you to point it at the TV...

Ill have to disagree with the two of you for the simple fact that remotes are lost... Gets lodged somewhere and now your tv is flipping channels till batteries die (which is freaking long....). On the upside it will speed up the search for it and those who
do not lose remotes will be fine. You know what, I want to see an app for that >_>

  15. Anyway, to add to the main topic a standard wired controller for the console just limits what can be done with it. I like others actually use it on the PC now too (Yes, that update is out)
