Rejecting a gifted Xbox Series X game.

I was gifted an unwanted Xbox Series X game yesterday. I know the purchaser will not request a refund from their end as they have been pestering me to buy the game for months, even though I have repeatedly said I do not like the game enough to buy it once the trial is over (I have only played it twice accounting for 20% of the 10 hr trial in the 2 months the game has been out). So, is there anyway that I can reject it my end so the purchaser will be refunded for a game that will never be used?

I apologize but there is no option to reject it but you can definitely not redeem the code. Your friend can only request a refund within 14 days of the original purchase.

there us a limit of 14 days or less then 2hours of gameplay which ever comes first

You can try and reply to the rejection email

Series consoles games can only be installed.on internal.or storage cards

Xbox one games.are just xbox one games there are no xbox one x or s games

They are all compatible with xbox one and forward compatible With series x and only digital xbox one games work with series s

I was gifted a game gta 5 with story mode ..then she gifted me the online version..she meant to just give me the separate online version first for my series x...turns out it was built for the series s....is there a refund for a product i can't use?

As stated above, funds from Xbox gift cards are added to your Microsoft account balance. They can be used to buy games/subscriptions on the 360, One, Series S/X, Windows, and you can use them in the Microsoft Store.

I have the exact same issue, I tried to trade in my xbox one into game in the United Kingdom, controller was scuffed so it got rejected, fired it up when I went home and the right anolog stick only works when the magnifying glass is on and only for panning, tried to connect the xbox one controller to my series x to see if it would work on my series x and now all of a sudden the issue is also on my series x controller so I also can't play that! I feel hopeless and after reading online it seems like no one has the issues apart from ourselves! I will keep trying to fix and let you know if I get anywhere
